jumpsuit / sandals / bag / hat
You guys know I can’t resist a good jumpsuit, and this one is SO good. One thing I’ve tried to do since I started blogging is to be sure to try things on that I wouldn’t normally try on. Sometimes it’s a total fail, but other times, I am surprised by how much I love a certain piece. And as much as I love a good basic, I also love a good detail (texture, shine, ruffle, belt, whatever).
This jumpsuit caught my eye because of this awesome belt, and the fact that it’s white. I’ve been SO drawn to white one-piece outfits lately. Something about a pretty, crisp, white look just makes it feel so effortless and summery, and I love that. This stunner is actually sort of like a heavy (but not heavy in the sense that it’s hot) linen fabric. It’s hard to explain, but basically, it’s like linen that still wrinkles, but not nearly as badly as most pieces I’ve seen.
I love the button details going up the front, and the back is smocked so it’s comfortable. Obviously the belt is the focal point and I’m obsessed, but another fun detail on this piece is that there is a slit up each leg which gives it really nice movement. I ended up getting the size 2 in this (true size is usually a 4). I thought it was too tight at first, but after wearing it, I think it was the right call. Plus, since the back is smocked at the top, that gave me a little breathing room.
