Yep! We are pregnant with baby number two! This little one is due in early November. In addition to the excitement of having another baby, I am also excited to be able to post about my maternity style. My last pregnancy I found out just how truly terrible a lot of maternity clothes are (and yes, I know they have come a long way). My favorite way to shop while pregnant is to try to find non-maternity pieces that work for a growing bump, at least for the majority of my pregnancy. That way, I can shop for pieces I can still use after I have the baby.
I found this perfect little black dress at Banana Republic this past weekend. It is SO comfortable. It is made of super stretchy and super soft fabric, with a bit of ruching on one side (a pregnant belly’s best friend). I love that it is sleeveless for summer, and that it is midi length. This piece is so versatile, I see myself wearing it a lot this pregnancy. It could totally be dressed up with some heels for a dressier occasion or even work with some cool ankle boots to transition into fall. I love the simple look of it with these nude flat sandals from J.Crew, they sort of give it a minimalist feel. I kept the jewelry simple, to stay with the minimalist look, and just added my favorite sunnies for summer and a blush pink bag.
