dress (under $100) / sandals / bag / hat / sunnies
Happy May 1st friends! Can y’all believe it’s already May?! I did the math today, and realized that my kids only have 7 more days of school (they only go twice a week), and then it’s me and them, at home, all day every day. That also means it’s about to get HOT here in Houston, which I am so not ready for. Liv is already complaining about the heat, and I’m over here like, “sister, you ain’t seen nothing yet!”
You guys want to know something funny about this dress? I almost didn’t keep it. It was one of those that I just wasn’t sure if it was my style when I tried it on in the dressing room. So then I did a poll when I shared it with y’all during a try-on session, and over 80% of you told me I should keep it. So I did. And when I got the pictures back, I was SO happy I did.
It’s funny because I went from being so unsure about this dress to it being one of my favorite looks I’ve ever shot. I even took this dress with me to the rewardStyle conference in Dallas a couple weekends ago and just never got to wear it. But I’m thinking I might wear it this weekend for my sister-in-law’s baby shower that I’m hosting.
This dress is good for so many reasons. The main reason though is that it’s a STEAL. This baby is only $59. I feel like it’s so rare to find a dress with a fit this good and movement this pretty for less than $100. Also, I find that a lot of wrap dresses can be a little risky, but this one hits in all the right places and you don’t feel like you’re going to show the world everything when you sit down if you forget to cross your legs if ya know what I mean.
Originally I thought I would pair this dress with some strappy block heels. I liked it with them, but I’m really so much more of a flats girl. These flat sandals have been on repeat lately, but I really love the effortless vibe they give to this dress.
