Dress: Socialite (under $50!) / Boots: Sole Society / Bag: Gucci / Sunnies: Nordstrom / Earrings: Kendra Scott / Bracelets: Kendra Scott (old, similar here and here)
Who doesn’t love an easy, super chic, one piece outfit?! Dresses are the easiest way to get dressed in my opinion. Once you choose the dress, all you have to add are shoes and accessories. You don’t have to worry so much about mixing and matching things perfectly.
Easy dresses like this one are a must in my closet. As a mom of two, there are days I truly don’t have the time to stare into my closet trying to come up with a creative outfit for the day. Confession: before kids I would spend hours in my bedroom trying different things on together, coming up with different outfit ideas. Obviously I don’t have hours alone to myself anymore to do that, so easy decisions are key a lot of days! I LOVE this dress. I wore this recently to dinner and drinks for my future sister-in-law’s birthday, and it was perfect because it was exactly what I wanted to wear for the night. Dinner wasn’t too dressy, but it was kind of warm out so I was over jeans. And since we were going out for drinks after, I wanted to feel slightly more dressed up (and maybe a little sexier than I would in jeans). Plus, this dress is lightweight, stretchy, and has pockets. Oh and even better, it’s under $50!
Remember when I said I wanted to feel a little dressed up but not too much? That’s exactly why I went with these over the knee boots. They are so much more fun than a flat, but still comfortable and give the dress a little extra sex appeal, without having to go all the way in heels. I knew we would be walking around a little bit, so heels didn’t sound like my kind of shoe for the evening! 🙂
I finished off this look with a few hematite jewelry pieces from Kendra Scott, these ear climbers being my favorite. I love these earrings so much, I actually wear them so much more than I ever thought I would. They can easily be dressed up or down and the hematite isn’t too flashy but it’s still a little edgy, which I love.
I might repeat this outfit this week sometime for all of my Thanksgiving festivities!
