Dress: Nordstrom / Jacket: Gap / Sandals: Birkenstock / Sunnies: Ray-Ban / Necklace: Nordstrom / Bracelet: Stella & Dot
I didn’t know how much I liked this outfit until I came back to choose the photos for this post. It gives off such an easy, laid-back vibe, all while staying comfortable and cool (as cool as you can at least) in this ridiculous Houston heat. It is SO hot here right now, and being pregnant certainly doesn’t help with that. This dress is from Nordstrom and is a steal. It comes in multiple colors, and also in a version with long sleeves for fall. Plus, it works with a bump (at least for now, I think it might be cutting it close toward the end of this pregnancy though)! I debated for a long time about whether or not to purchase a pair of Birkenstocks. And trust me when I tell you, more than one person in my family made fun of me when I mentioned that I wanted a pair. But after the trend stuck around for a couple of seasons I decided I would give them a try. I am still figuring out how to wear them, but I definitely like them with this dress because it makes the look super casual and effortless. Not to mention, these shoes are definitely pregnancy friendly since right now my feet will swell if I wear heels for too long! I wanted to finish off this look with minimal jewelry, including this delicate layered necklace I purchased at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Despite the heat, I did want to throw in the denim jacket just as a layering piece. Even though it is so hot outside, I have been known to carry a sweater or denim jacket with me when going into restaurants because they are all so cold during the summer months.
