I know I’ve said this a million times, but I feel the prettiest in neutral colors. In fact, I used to get made fun of by my husband and family for never wearing color. I always wanted everything in black or grey…and still do for the most part. But I’ve started branching out lately and going for some brighter hues. However, I love the classic look of neutral colors.
This look just feels so classy and chic to me. I think it’s mostly the fact that I’m wearing a structured jacket with heels, but whatever it is, I like it! I bought this jacket a while back for fall because I felt like all my jackets were black. I’ve gotten tons of use out of it, so it was definitely a good purchase. My only regret is that I got a size large. I am normally a medium in jackets (I have really wide shoulders), but I sized up in this one because the shoulders seemed exceptionally narrow. While the large fits my shoulders, the arms and chest area are a bit loose.
The top I’m wearing under the jacket is from Loft and is on sale from less than $15 right now…so snag one while you can! I love this top for a layering piece or for just a simple black top. The top half of it is basically t-shirt material, and the bottom half is silky, so it’s lightweight and comfortable.
The jeans I’m wearing in this look are my all-time favorite style, the Legging Ankle Jean from AG Jeans. I LOVE these jeans. They have a perfect fit, tons of stretch, super-soft fabric and I love that they hit just above my ankle rather than past it.
I had to finish off this look with a leopard shoe given the black and tan, just to add something a little fun. I also added these tassel earrings from Bauble Bar for a little bit of sparkle.
