Happy Monday babes! I don’t know about y’all, but we managed to actually have a nice, relaxing weekend. We never just hang out at home, and we actually did that a little this weekend. It was so nice to not have to rush around everywhere. As much as I love to be on the go all the time, it gets tiring, especially with two kids, so the downtime was great!
Okay, let’s talk about this look! My top and blazer are pieces from Banana Republic’s current collection, which, by the way, is 40% off right now! Y’all I am SO loving this gorgeous satin cami. The fit is perfect for me, and I absolutely love the way the tiered ruffles fall. I feel like this cami makes my waist look super small because of the way it fits, and who wouldn’t want that?! This cami is a great layering piece, but it’s also so pretty on it’s own! It comes in this gorgeous navy color, as well as a really pretty light blue (that I’m kind of wanting to order), as well as this fun printed option!
I layered it here with this blazer. My favorite thing about this blazer is the inverted collar. I feel like it gives it a more modern look, but still maintains a classic and professional feel. I don’t work outside of the home, but this piece would be great for work. It also looks great just layered over a simple tee with some jeans and sneakers. The fabric is much more comfortable than your typical blazer too. It’s a ponte fabric, which means it has a lot of stretch and doesn’t feel so stiff. This is one of my favorite fabrics to wear in pieces like this or professional looking dresses because I find that it makes the fit so much better.
Since I don’t have an office job, I paired these classic pieces with some dark skinny jeans and strappy heels for a sophisticated, but more casual look. I’ll probably end up wearing this exact outfit for a date night with my hubby in the near future!
xo, Loren
