Well hello guys! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here. The holidays were such a whirlwind, and I really wasn’t feeling myself during Christmas (more on that later), so it feels good to finally be getting back into a normal routine. As much as I love the holiday season, I’m thankful for the start of a new year. 2019 had many blessings for my family, but there were parts of it that also made it one the hardest years yet. I’m looking forward to seeing what 2020 brings!
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been getting in a bunch of new pieces that are kind spring transitional, good to wear now, but can also be styled for spring. Honestly, I kind of love transitional pieces because they are obviously a little more versatile.
This denim dress is by Free People, and I absolutely love it. It’s funny because when I added it to my cart is was kind of one of those “I’m not really sure but this might be cute so I’ll order it and see what happens” kind of things. Sometimes those purchases end up being some of my favorite pieces. I love the balloon sleeves on this piece, and this fit is so good. I’m in a medium and it fits perfectly. I’m planning to wear it now with booties, and with some flat strappy sandals in the warmer months.
Speaking of booties though, this white pair is new and they are amazing. Schutz is one of my favorite shoe brands style-wise. They are a little pricier, but I tend to get really good wear out of their shoes, and they are always so chic and pair well with so many things. I have several other pairs of white booties, but I’m super weird with the shaft height of booties. Too low and they look weird, too high and they are hard to wear with jeans. This pair seems to be just perfect, AND the heel height isn’t crazy. A rare combination in my opinion! I recommend sizing up though, they run a little small!
