Ok y’all, I’m not sure what is going on with the quality of these pictures. My hubby tried a new setting when shooting these and clearly it didn’t work as well. We are still learning!
So funny story about this look…I almost never shop at White House Black Market. It usually feels a little too dressy for me, so I don’t ever go in. I was out shopping with my mom the other day and she wanted to go in. While she was looking around I came across this long cardigan. As soon as I tried it on I fell in love. What I love most about it is that I have nothing like it in my closet at the moment. I have a tendency to always buy similar items (who doesn’t, we all know what we like!), but sometimes it’s fun to try out something a bit different.
For this look, I kept it casual with jeans. I just got this pair from Gap. They have the raw edge, uneven hem, which I am SUCH a fan of right now. In fact, I had been searching all over the internet for some that wouldn’t break the bank, and finally came across these while shopping in the store the other day. I also really love the front seam detail on them, because it just gives a slightly different look from all of my other denim.
I layered the cardigan over this simple black cami, which is also from White House Black Market. Several things I love about this cami…One, it is woven, so other fabrics don’t cling to it, they just slide right over it. Two, it has a v-neck, which I love for layering with jackets and cardigans, because I feel like it changes up the neckline a bit. Three, it is not fitted. I hate fitted camis. I am always looking for layering pieces like this that aren’t skin tight!
My boots are one of my favorite parts of this outfit, and maybe one of my favorite pairs of shoes ever. I ordered these during the Shopbop sale a few weeks back. I love that they don’t have a super high heel, and that they have a pointy toe. They can easily be dressed up or down, but they are still pretty comfortable for all day wear.
xo, Loren
