Clearly I have a thing for white tops. Seriously though, I do love the look of a white top against a pair of distressed skinnies. There is something so effortlessly cool and classic about it. I swear, I am always on the hunt for a good white shirt whether it’s a simple tank, one with a little detail to it, the perfect t-shirt, etc.
I snagged this one at Madewell a few weeks ago. My favorite things about it: it is NOT sheer (such a struggle), it is sleeveless (it is SO hot in Houston right now y’all), and it is a simple, cotton t-shirt material (no special washing instructions needed). This top is the epitome of a good basic to have in your closet.
I love it with distressed skinnies. I think the distressing on the jeans gives a little more visual interest to the look than if I had paired it with plain denim. I also paired it with my favorite sandals lately, these low-heeled lace-ups, to add just a little more detail to the look. Since this was an easy, casual weekend look for me, I just grabbed my Neverfull (you can never go wrong with this bag) and threw what I needed in it and was on my way!
