cowl neck sweater / flared jeans / similar snake print belt / booties
Well hello hello guys. It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on here! If I’m being honest, once the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale slowed down, I was kind of over it. I felt like all I was doing was sharing sold out outfits with you guys. I still have a bunch of looks from the sale that I shot with my photographers, so I definitely still want to use those photos, but they will have to be more for outfit inspiration than anything else. I will definitely do my best to link similar items though for you guys!
One of my most swiped up outfits on Instagram recently was in flared jeans. I bought this pair last year (but they always have these in a similar wash) to kind of dip my toe into the return of this trend. This year I’m really into it and can’t wait to style these more! I also just ordered another pair with a higher waist, so I’m excited about those too!
For this shoot I went with a classic cowl neck sweater. This one has a bit of an oversized fit, but you can easily recreate this look with pretty much any cowl neck sweater. One of my favorite parts about this outfit though is this snakeskin belt. It adds the subtlest little detail and breaks up all the solid pieces a little bit. Of course this exact one sold out super quick, but I found a similar one here.
The one thing I can’t get past with flared jeans is that I feel like pointy-toe shoes are a must. For me, if I’m not wearing a shoe with a pointy toe, I feel like my foot disappears under the fabric and I end up not looking as elongated. These boots were a Nordstrom sale purchase, but I recently discovered that they also have a very similar version by the same designer with a lower heel (here). I actually made my mom buy them!
