I hope you all are having a good week! I, for one, am looking forward to the weekend. It has been a rough couple of weeks in the Hamilton household between car trouble, stolen golf clubs, and my hubby getting the flu! Hopefully he is feeling better (and none of the rest of us catch it) by the weekend! We’ve got a much needed (and long awaited) date night tomorrow, and then Saturday night we have a dinner with our new church to meet some people!
I know I’ve said this before, but I’m always on the hunt for new (particularly lightweight) tops. I am dressed pretty casual the majority of the time, which means lots of jeans. So finding new and fun tops that aren’t too boring (don’t get me wrong though, I love a good simple tee) is how I stay stylish and comfortable for my super casual lifestyle. Tops that can be dressed up or down, and easily transition between warmer and cooler weather are also a huge win for me.
I spotted this little under $50 cutie a few weeks ago and immediately tried it on. Of course, I was drawn to the cold shoulder. But I was also drawn to the print. I don’t buy a ton of pieces with a print, unless it’s stripes, but this one is just so pretty for spring! I also love the faux wrap style of the front, I think it’s a really flattering neckline. My other favorite thing about this top is the front bubble hem. It gives it the look of being tucked in in the front, and since I am such a huge fan of the “half tuck”, I was definitely feeling it!
I wanted to style this top for this shoot for more of a date night look. I haven’t actually worn this outfit yet (like I said, our date night is long overdue), but I plan to the first chance I get! I went with white jeans and a strappy heeled sandal. These sandals are basically the best things ever. I pretty much never spend this much on a shoe, and didn’t intend to, but my husband got them for me for Valentine’s Day, and I have to say, I’m not mad about it. I have worn them three times now, and each of those times have been days where I am standing around in them for hours at a time. I have never been able to do that in a heel like this before, so in my opinion, the quality matches the price.
I finished off this look with this gorgeous under $50 bag (that I am really considering ordering in another color because I love it so much), and my favorite oversized sunnies. Oh, and my favorite accessory in this look is these beaded tassel earrings! I am such a fan of this gorgeous pale pink color for spring!
