Everyone once in a while when I am out shopping I’ll spot a piece that stops me in my tracks. That’s exactly what happened with this fun little dress! I was at Nordstrom helping my mom shop for a formal dress for my brother’s upcoming wedding. As we were getting ready to leave I spotted this dress. I almost didn’t try it on, but thought, hey, it’s triple points weekend, if I’m going to buy it now is as good of time as any! HAHA 🙂 So I did, and immediately loved it. Since it actually has long sleeves I plan to wear it for my brother’s rehearsal dinner in February. I always have a hard time finding dresses I like, that fit my shoulders and my chest at the same time (my shoulders are wide, but my chest is rather small) and that is still long enough. I’ve almost gotten to a point where if I see a dress I like, that fits the way I like, I buy it. Because it’s the worst when you NEED one and have to go settle for something that doesn’t make you feel amazing.
I feel like the shoe options for this dress are endless. For this look, I went with some classic, heeled ankle boots to give it a modern fall look. I’ve actually had my eye on some different black ankle boots that I think would look even better with this little number, but these are what I have available in my closet for now! Since the dress is so busy, I just went with a really pretty statement earring, and ring, so that I didn’t take away from the print in the dress. I wanted a chic, feminine bag to pair with this look, but nothing that felt too dressy like a clutch, so I grabbed my chain-link grey shoulder bag.
xo, Loren
