For whatever reason, I have been dying for anything gingham to make it’s way into my closet lately. When I spotted this dress from Loft I knew it was perfect! I love how lightweight this dress is, making it perfect for the crazy heat and humidity here in Houston. I also really like that it has a looser fit and a drop waist, because I think that gives it a more casual feel.
Navy or red gingham just screams super all-American to me, so I knew I had to use this dress for one of my posts this week for the upcoming Fourth of July weekend. To keep that same vibe going, I paired this dress with my denim vest and my converse sneakers. I feel like the vest just makes it that much more casual, making the sneakers a good choice for shoes. To add some red in there I went with my red Rebecca Minkoff crossbody. Of course, the finishing touch had to be a classic pair of aviators, so I opted for my current faves, these silver ones from Ray-Ban.
