Happy Monday babes! Hope you guys had a good weekend! We finally got to have a date night on Friday night (where I had a bit too much to drink haha) but it was much needed! Saturday night we had a dinner at our pastor’s house to make some friends at our new church, which was really great!
I hope you all are having a good start to your week! I got to meet one of my oldest friend’s newest baby today! She already has two little ones close in age to mine, and just had a third back in January and I finally got to meet him, so that’s always a good start to the week, right?!
Okay y’all…this dress was one of those MUST HAVE pieces. Seriously, I walked into the store, saw it, and made a beeline to grab my size. I didn’t know I was such a sucker for a gingham print until this dress, but turns out I am. Of course, the off the shoulder neckline didn’t hurt either. We all know I feel about that!
I am wearing a small in this cutie, it runs a bit large. Let me explain though, I am typically a small in a lot of items at Anthropologie, but anytime something has an off the shoulder neckline, I tend to size up. I have relatively broad shoulders for my frame, so I hate when an off the shoulder top or dress looks like it’s about to burst at the seams across my chest. However, this dress runs slightly big. I could have worn an extra small honestly, but I sized up to the small to give me a little extra length.
There were honestly so many ways I wanted to style this dress. I thought about some platform wedges, flat studded sandals, it would even look cute with sneakers! But I recently snagged these red mules from Target and I couldn’t resist a little black and red ensemble! I added a red lip to tie it all in, plus a red lip makes my teeth look whiter HAHA!
I finished off this look with just a few simple black accessories including my black cat-eye sunnies (which I kind of need to replace, because after shooting this look I realized I wish they were larger) and my favorite crossbody of all time. I hope you all have a good week!
