It’s my birthday you guys!! I had to do a fun post this year since it’s my LAST year of my twenties! I can’t believe I will be 30 next year! So crazy!
The funny thing is, I don’t usually make that big of deal out of my birthday. You know how it is if you have a December birthday…there is so just much else going on that it gets a little lost! I have to say though, my family and friends have always been really great at making me feel special on my birthday. It seems they usually remember it’s coming up better than I do. Part of the reason for that is that I LOVE Christmas, so I’m usually looking so forward to that, that I overlook my own birthday. But since next year is a big one, we’ll have to do something fun. And actually, my husband’s birthday is December 28th, and we will BOTH be turning 30 next year. Right now we are tossing around the idea of a trip to Italy (somewhere I have ALWAYS wanted to go), but we’ll see if it actually happens. For this year, he is taking me out to a fancy dinner, sans littles!
Now for my outfit…is anyone else obsessed with all of these button front skirts?! I am LOVING them. I snagged this one from Gap, and unfortunately it’s just about sold out now, but I linked one that is almost exactly the same. Because I was doing this post with my fun birthday balloons, I wanted to keep the top simple. So I went with a turtleneck t-shirt in ivory. I’m telling you guys, mock/turtlenecks with these 90’s inspired skirts are my jam. Add some over the knee boots and I’m good to go!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! We have a crazy one ahead of us! A few things I am looking forward to this weekend are going to see A Christmas Carol downtown with my entire family, and Christmas brunch on Sunday at my parents’ country club (it’s always soooo good)! Happy Friday y’all!
