jumpsuit / shoes / bag / earrings
Happy Hump Day friends! If you’ve seen my Instagram posts today, you already know that my day is off to a rough start. On the way to the kids’ school this morning we got into a car accident. Everyone is okay, no injuries, but ugh! What a way to start off a morning. We were going through an intersection and a guy turning left from the other direction had a left turn yield sign and just totally didn’t see us, and basically t-boned my car. I’m so thankful though because it truly could have been much worse. We were both able to brake before the collision, so it wasn’t quite as hard. I drive a GMC Acadia, and he was in a Mini Cooper, so he didn’t hit too high up on my car. Thank goodness because he hit right at the bottom of the door by Liv’s car seat.
If you know me at all personally, you’ve probably heard me rant about car seat safety before. This is the first car accident I’ve ever been in with my kids in the car. SO many people do not know the proper way to install their car seats, or buckle their kids in. Many people leave the car seat to loose in the seat, and don’t tighten the straps on their child’s harness even close to to tight enough. A lot of people also turn their kids carseats to forward-facing way too soon. I’m not trying to make any judgements, but I just want to touch on this because it is SO important. There is a reason there is a right way to do it all, and it’s to keep your kids as safe as you possibly can. Had this car been a little bigger, or not been able to brake as much, our accident really could have been so much worse. Car seats are intended to save your child’s life in these situations, so you should make sure it will actually do so. It only takes once for it to be a tragedy. This page has a lot of good information on car seat safety, and this video (even though it’s a little dorky haha) is really helpful as far as how to buckle the child in.
Okay, now that I’m done with that rant….I’ll tell y’all about this jumpsuit. I actually picked up this little number at the cutest boutique in The Woodlands, called Carrie Ann Boutique. There are locations in Market Street and Uptown Park for those of you who are local. If you aren’t local, don’t worry, I found it for you here. It runs true to size. I’m wearing it in a small. A lot of jumpsuits and rompers can be short on me, but this one is perfect. I love that the white tank piece is attached too. It’s so comfortable to wear for a fun night out!
Last thing, my tassel earrings are 25% off right now, along with a bunch of my other favorite pieces of jewelry!
xo, Loren
