top / jeans / shoes / bag / hat
Okay you guys…this outfit is one of my favorites. I basically took all of my favorite trends for this fall and threw them together in one outfit, and I actually love how it turned out. Nordstrom is always my go-to when looking for something new, and the first place I check to see what’s trending.
My favorite place to start on Nordstrom’s website is their New Arrivals section, because then I can shop the newest items for the season. This is typically where I go when shopping for new pieces to style for blog posts for y’all!
Plaid seems to be a trend every fall, but I feel like it’s even bigger this year, and I love it. This gorgeous plaid top was one of my favorite finds while browsing Nordstrom’s new arrivals. I LOVE the mock neck, so classy and feminine, especially the cuffed sleeves. The material is a lightweight crinkle chiffon, and can totally be dressed up or down. I might wear it with some light wash jeans and booties, but it would also be really pretty tucked into a skirt or classic black pants for a work look.
Another trend I’m so into right now is flared jeans. If you watched my try-on session over the weekend, you heard me talk about how I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect pair. Flared jeans have to have the perfect fit in my opinion. I wanted high-rise, but not so high that it felt TOO ’70’s, and I wanted more than a bootcut leg, but not full on bell-bottoms. I also wanted a dark wash with no distressing. This pair is PERFECT. I do need to get them hemmed just a little, because I don’t wear super high heels, but not so much that it will alter the look of the flare.
Okay now let’s talk about animal prints, another huge trend for fall. You guys know I love me some leopard print. There are SO many options out there right now as far as animal print clothes and accessories, but I always love pairing a leopard shoe with an outfit. As far as I’m concerned, it’s basically a neutral, and looks good with almost anything. These pumps are my favorites because they have a block heel and it isn’t too tall.
Last but not least, how fun is this beret?! I love hats, despite that my husband actually hates when I wear them. Does anyone else feel like all men hate hats on women? I will never understand. ANYWAY, I have a newfound love for berets after this look. I think they are so classy and chic!
Be sure to check out Nordstrom for more on my favorite trends this fall!
