Hi friends! Today was the best day ever! I dropped my littles off with my mom this morning and headed to the Nordstrom at the Galleria here in Houston to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. For those of you who don’t know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a fall preview sale where tons of select fall items are put on sale for a limited time at the beginning of the season. It’s a great way to score some amazing pieces for fall, on sale, without having to wait until the end of the season. And, if you’re a Nordstrom cardholder, you can start shopping now, before the public. Not to worry though, public access begins July 21st!
Here is a dressing room roundup of most of what I tried on today! Excuse the awful quality of these photos…they were all taken on my phone, and the lighting in this dressing room was so bad!
I wanted to love this floral top ($32) but just didn’t. The pattern felt too busy. I did like the style of the top though, because I ended up buying it in a solid color. I’m wearing a medium here.
These Paige jeans are amazing. Super soft, high-rise, and nice and stretchy. The best part? They are on sale for $100, which is a steal for designer jeans! I’m wearing a size 27.
These peep-toe booties are life y’all. Can’t wait to wear them with umm, everything, this fall. They are on sale for $100 and come in three colors.
This is another top I wanted to love, but didn’t. I actually prefer it in the solid color options, but my store didn’t have them. It’s on sale for $50, and I think I’m wearing a small here.
This isn’t the best picture of them, but I am OBSESSED with these black over the knee boots. These come in 4 colors and are on sale right now for $160 (they will go up to $240 after the sale!) These came home with me for sure!
I actually really did like this top. The only thing I wasn’t into was how much you could see all the lumps from my jeans underneath. It would probably be cuter tucked in, but it’s on sale for $39. (Wearing a medium)
I did buy these jeans though. Y’all, these are on sale for $46!! You can’t tell here, but they have the cutest high-rise button-front fly, which I love. But seriously, these are a great fit for an amazing price. I ended up buying these over the Paige jeans I showed you above. (Wearing a size 27)
I loved the bell sleeves on this sweater but needed to go down a size. I’m wearing a medium here. By the time I decided I needed a smaller size, I had already chosen to buy too many other things, so I didn’t take this one home. I do love it though! It’s on sale for $39 and comes in 3 colors.
Y’all, I literally went back and forth so many times about whether or not to get this top. At the end of the day, I didn’t, because I had too many other favorites. Literally the only reason I put this one back though was because it would require a strapless bra. But I LOVE this mauve-blush color. This cutie is on sale for $32 and also comes in black and grey. I think I’m wearing a medium here.
I love these cold shoulder tops! They are perfect for transitioning into fall, and would look cute with boots/booties or sandals or heels. Plus, they’re only $30! I got this one in the pink color. (Wearing a medium)
This top is the same style as the floral one I posted above. I definitely preferred it in a solid, and totally fell in love with this gorgeous light blue color. It’s a steal for $32!

This is another sweater I had to really think hard about cutting out of my “keep” pile. I love the oversized, lace-up sleeves. I ended up putting this one back solely for practical reasons. These jackets y’all! I loved both colors but ended up buying the tan because it’s just so gorgeous for fall. These are on sale for $126! I am wearing a medium in both.
A lightweight, comfy cardigan was something I definitely wanted to pick up today. I tried this one, but ultimately went with another style (see below) that I liked better and was a little less. This is on sale for $59 and comes in 3 colors. (Wearing a small)
One thing I did love from this outfit though was this lace trim cami (on sale for $23). It’s the perfect layering piece and is also so pretty on it’s own. I bought this in both black and ivory. (Wearing a small)
This cozy cardi is the one I ended up buying. And y’all, I love this one so much I almost bought two colors. It comes in 4 colors, and is $50. The rose color was my second choice. Actually, it may have been my first, but I really needed a neutral one! Size down in this one though, I’m wearing an extra-small.
This top is super comfy, and on sale for only $25. It also comes in 6 colors. I wanted like all of them. Which is why I didn’t get it. Because I couldn’t decide, and I have a few tops that are similar. It’s so good though! I’m wearing a medium here to give it a slouchier fit, but I’d say it runs true to size, because a small seemed to fit my arms better.

These leopard mules were sort of a last minute decision, but, y’all…I can’t pass up a cute leopard shoe. And for just $60. Yeah, definitely a must-have.
This cozy, but super lightweight, thermal top is so comfy. (I’m wearing a small). I tried it on in this color and the one below, and ultimately bought it in the color below (the ivory). It’s on sale for $25.
This suede skirt is to die for! It’s probably one of my favorite purchases. It also comes in a gorgeous burgundy color, and is on sale for $65. (Wearing a size 27, and I’m 5’8″ for reference) It’s a tad on the shorter side, but I couldn’t pass it up.
This striped tee is a great staple, and an affordable one for just $19. I only bought it in this gray striped variation, but it comes in 5 other colors. (I’m wearing a small)
Sometimes a strapless bra is worth it. That’s how I feel about this off the shoulder pullover! I also love that it’s really light weight. This cutie is on sale for $45 and comes in 4 colors. I’m wearing a small.
