The hardest part about writing a fashion blog is definitely finding the time to shoot. My husband is my usual photographer for each of these posts, but lately his work schedule has been super busy. Sometimes I use my mom too, but it just seems like we always run out of time. Having two kids is a big difference from having just one. It seems like every spare minute is spent doing something to take care of them, or, finally finding a moment to myself (those are becoming more and more rare). So here I am, several weeks later, FINALLY getting a new post up. And I love this one, because my little BFF photobombed it and she is adorable! My day-to-day life (as you can probably imagine) is VERY casual. I am constantly running in and out of Mother’s Day Out, running errands, getting spit up on, all that stuff. So I love casual looks like this one that are comfortable for doing all of these tasks in! I purchased this olive green shirt online from J.Crew several years ago, not realizing what kind of material it is. It is a very thick, somewhat stiff fabric, making it a little awkward to wear it as a true shirt just because it feels a bit restricting. I finally decided I’d try layering it with a tank, and this option worked much better! I paired it with my distressed black skinny jeans to keep the super casual vibe going. I didn’t want to look TOO “grungy” so I opted for my suede booties to keep the look a little more “put-together”.
