Happy Friday friends! Sorry for being so silent on here this week! We got back from our trip on Wednesday and I’m trying to get back into our routine. I had planned to set this post to go live Tuesday, but our trip got a little busy! We had a great time though!
Okay so y’all want to know something funny about these overalls? I probably tried them on at least 4 times before finally buying them. I believe I actually went so far as to purchase them two years ago but ended up returning them after they sat, unworn and with no intention of wearing them, in my closet for like two weeks! What’s funny now is that these babies are hard to come by this season because they keep selling out then getting restocked and selling out again!
There are obviously tons of different brands carrying overalls right now, but I love the fit of this pair from Madewell. They have more of a “skinny” fit so they aren’t quite as loose in the hips and legs, which I think makes them more flattering. They also come up a little higher on the sides so your shirt stays tucked in a little better.
For me the key is wearing a shirt that is a little more fitted underneath. I hate when the sides are spilling out too much. This top is actually a body suit, which works perfectly with overalls because then everything stays tucked in. I’ve also worn these with just a simple v-neck tank, this style is probably my favorite. I’ve been wanting to style them with a fitted off the shoulder tee too, so I’m on the hunt for the perfect one for that!
Well, I’m off to take Liv to the Disney store, since I promised her I would two days ago. Have a good weekend babes!
