Once I spotted this poncho, I immediately decided it was perfect for Houston weather. This time of year, the mornings are pretty cool, but we often get into the mid 60’s or low 70’s by the afternoon. It is a sweater-type weight, but since it has shorter sleeves, it keeps me a little cooler than a full sweater. The day I wore it it was a little on the chilly side, so I just layered a plain black tee underneath. I would definitely wear it with just a plain black tank on warmer days. I kept the whole layer underneath the poncho black, with black jeans in addition to the black tee, to have a chic, streamlined look. I went with my gray over-the-knee boots to keep the color palette simple, but I love the height the boots give so I don’t look too frumpy in such a baggy sweater. This look is super comfy…definitely one of my favorites!
