For me, there is a fine line between boyfriend jeans being just the right fit, and too baggy. This pair fits me perfectly, as far as the type of fit I’m going for. They are actually called “girlfriend jeans”, meaning they still have that looser fit without being too baggy. You can still see a little bit of shape, but they give a slouchy, laid back look to my outfit, which I love. Apparently, I have really been feeling the color red lately, and this sweater is no exception. I sometimes find that it can be hard to find the right top to pair with boyfriend jeans. I like the fit of this sweater because it is slouchy without being huge. Too much volume up top with the looser fitting jeans would just look frumpy, and something too tight would be too much of a contrast between the top and bottom. I love the way boyfriend jeans look paired with heels, but for my lifestyle, heels are a rarity. Pointy-toe flats have become my favorite type of flat shoe. I still get the sleek look and leg elongating effect of a heel, but can stay comfortable toting my two littles around all day. Because this look was so casual, I added this gorgeous necklace that I received in this month’s Rocksbox. (If y’all haven’t tried Rocksbox, you should it is so fun!
