Okay, so I love essential oils…or at least I want to. To be honest with you it always overwhelms me a bit to get started. First of all, it is expensive. Second of all, I never know quite what I’m doing. I am always unsure of what oils to use for various things, or what to mix with what, etc. If you’re like me, then Simply Earth is here to make your life SO much easier. Or at least to introduce you to essential oils and how and what to use them for.
What separates Simply Earth from most of the essential oil companies I have looked into, is that you get a subscription box. The cool thing about this box is that it comes with recipes for the oils included in the box, as well as containers to put your recipes in and everything you need to get going. The only thing it doesn’t include is a diffuser, which is an easy thing to purchase separately so that’s not a big deal. My favorite thing about the subscription box is that it’s only $39.95 per month, with free shipping. Also, you can pause, or cancel it at any time. So if you get so many oils you don’t know what to do with, just turn it off for a bit, then turn it back on when you’re ready! Also, Simply Earth uses 100% essential oils, no additives, no fillers. Which means they are the real deal.
What you see above is everything that was included in my first box. (Except for the diffuser, which was separate.) I received 5 oils (every box comes with 5 oils), a booklet with quite a few recipes, and 4 containers to accompany the recipes. Of course, as soon as I got it, I had to test it out. It was perfect timing because this box included recipes that are all holiday related. I love the holidays (and I start prepping for it super early) so it was so fun to try these out!
The first one I tried was the Christmas Diffuser Blend. This recipe uses frankincense, rosemary, and pine in a diffuser. It was perfect for making my house smell amazing!
The second recipe I tried was the Holiday Home Scent Spray, using pine and frankincense. Basically, this one smells like a Christmas tree, and I love it. We have an artificial tree every year, so I’m always trying to find ways to pretend like we have a real tree in the house (air fresheners, usually). This spray is great for that! Of course, it’s also great for just making your house smell good for no reason at all too! 🙂 The only thing I found with this one, is that I had to add a few more drops than what the recipe card included, and make sure you shake the bottle well before spraying. The first go-round I didn’t get much of a scent, but once I added a few more drops, it was great! I can’t wait to try out the rest of my recipes in this box throughout the holiday season!
