romper / wedges / bag / earrings
Happy Friday Eve babes! Hope you all had a Happy Fourth of July! We had all these big plans to go have a pool day at my parents’ and grill some burgers and hot dogs, and it poured nearly the entire day! We ended up spending the first half of the afternoon on our couch watching Harry Potter while the kids napped. Once they woke up we did make it to my parents’ house, and the sun came out just long enough to get a short little swim in with the kids.
I am so excited to finally share this romper with you guys! I bought it a while ago and couldn’t find it online. Now that it’s up, I’m totally oversharing, but it’s worth it! It’s sort of a chambray linen and so perfect for summer. I absolutely love how it ties in the front because I think it makes it so flattering. I may or may not tie it a little tighter to cinch my waist in if ya know what I mean. Also, it’s currently ON SALE for 25% off! So if you want it, buy it now!
I went with a medium in this romper because the small was a little short in the torso. The medium is a little big in my chest, but it has a hook and eye closure to keep the “wrap” style from opening up and showing everything.
I really love the versatility of this romper though. I’ve worn it with all kids of shoes, dressed up and down. It’s perfect to just throw your hair up in a messy bun and slide into some flat sandals for a casual look, or you could even dress it up with a strappy block heel and a clutch for a cute summer night out outfit. I went with these wedges this time because I am slightly obsessed with them, and after months of not being available, they finally came back in stock for a hot minute so I had to snag them. Of course now they are sold out again in most sizes though.
Funny story about these wedges, I asked to try them on several times at my local store, but they never had my size. The awkward part is that the sales guy who helped me was the same each time. So when I was in Nordstrom the other day, he recognized me and asked me if I was ever able to get them. Haha! Just slightly awkward. And in related news, I clearly need to spend less time in Nordstrom.
xo,
Loren
