top / pants / similar booties / tote / sunnies
Last week I had the opportunity to drive around a Toyota Highlander for a week. And y’all….I SO enjoyed driving this car. So a lot of moms I know really love to drive the ginormous SUV’s like Suburbans, Tahoes, Expeditions, etc. I am not that mom. Those vehicles make me feel like I’m driving a bus, and I hate that feeling. So when I look for cars, I look for something that has the capacity to comfortably hold two bulky car seats, plus accommodate taller people, since my husband and I have to set our seats back pretty far. We don’t want something that won’t leave any room for our kids’ little legs behind us.
What I loved most about the Highlander was that it was so roomy, even though it’s not one of those huge bus-sized SUV’s. My kids had so much room behind each seat, and I could have been over 6 feet tall and still had plenty of room. The model I drove had the bucket seats in the back, which I love as a mom because my kids then each have their own seats.
And you guys, this car drives like a DREAM. It seriously has such a smooth ride and is a really easy car to drive. Literally the only downside I found to it for me was that the trunk was a little smaller than the car I currently drive. And the only reason that was a negative for me is because I still regularly keep a double umbrella stroller in my trunk, which tends to take up quite a bit of space. But I actually told my husband, this is a car I would honestly consider purchasing when it’s time for me to get a new car, since my kids will be a little older by then and won’t require quite as much “stuff”.
Okay you guys, these green pants are everything. I picked these up last week because they were 40% off (and I think they are again right now), and I have already worn them at least three times. The fit is so good, I swear they make me look and feel skinnier. I also really love the tie-belted waist. I have been searching for a new pair of olive green pants, and these are the perfect change from my usual jeans. I’m wearing a size 2 for reference.
I grabbed this top during the Shopbop sale last week, and I LOVE it. It’s such a good go-to for this time of year. In addition to these green pants, I’ve been wearing it with black skinnies, regular denim, and shorts. It runs large, but I got it in a small instead of sizing down to an extra-small so I could wear it off the shoulder.
