dress / sandals (similar / bag / hair clip
Finally getting around to posting this dress I wore to the LIKEtoKNOW.it finale party at rStheCon this year. I was holding off for so long because the dress was only available for pre-order (I had gotten it by stalking the designer and ordering it through a boutique), and the pre-order ship date kept getting pushed back. It is finally available now though!
This dress was definitely a splurge for me, but I’ve always told myself if you really love something and can’t stop thinking about it, then maybe it’s worth the splurge. When I was shopping for dresses for this event, nothing I found ever really compared, and I kept coming back to this dress. After emailing the designer saying that I wanted to hunt it down, they gave me the contact info for a boutique in NYC and I was finally able to order it through them at the last minute. (Thank goodness it fit).
I have always loved a one shoulder neckline, but the fabric and print together on this is just so beautiful to me. The fabric is a lightweight, burnout velvet, which I love because velvet isn’t typically a spring fabric. But combined with these colors and this print I think it totally works. Plus, I think it makes the dress more versatile, and I think you could totally wear this in early fall too.
