Of course you all know about that silly rule that tells you you can’t wear white after Labor Day, right?! Well, I’m not a fan of that rule, for several reasons. One, I live in Houston, Texas. It is hot here often times through October. Sometimes white just feels right, even if it is “fall”. Two, you can totally style white for fall. I’m not sure who decided that was only a spring/summer color.
SO, today I’m talking about how to style white jeans for fall. In my opinion, it’s all about colors and accessories. If you pair white jeans with a top in a darker “fall” appropriate color, they are not going to feel too “summery”. Also, using texture when choosing a top for your white jeans can also give your look the right amount of “fall”. Like, if you top them off with a chunky sweater, in any color really, it can totally work. Because let’s be honest, how amazing would a cozy gray sweater look with white jeans and boots?! (Yep, I’ll be wearing that outfit at some point in the future.)
Accessories also play a huge role in making your white jeans outfit look more appropriate in the cooler months. As far as shoes, go for boot and booties, or shoes with texture like suede, calf-hair, velvet, etc. Hats are one of my favorite accessories for fall, and instantly make a fall outfit super chic. Scarves are always a good add-on too!
For this look, I did go with a lighter-weight chiffon top (since it was about 90 degress out when I shot this look). But the color is dark enough for it to work. I added my gray over the knee boots (over the knee boots are my FAVE y’all!), and a felt panama hat to accessorize. I kept the gray going with a chic chain-link shoulder bag, and finished off my look with a sparkly statement ring.
