If you follow me on Instagram, I’ve talked about how Brad and I are going to Paris in October. That has resulted in lots of requests for “what to pack for Paris” outfit ideas, as it turns out quite a few of you are planning a fall trip to Paris as well!
Before I get into it, let me just say that I absolutely do NOT need this many outfits for our week long trip. However, I am a fashion blogger, and more outfits equals more content. And I also just love putting outfits together, so why not?!
I really wanted to try to pack in a way that would keep me from bringing too much unnecessary stuff though, because I do plan on doing some shopping while I’m there so I want to have some space to bring things back.
All of these looks can so easily be mixed and matched with each other, swapping out shoes (for example, heels for sneakers if my feet just can’t take it one night), jackets, tops, etc. I bet I could create so many more looks with these pieces since they are all such staples.
Basically what I did was create two outfits for each day, one for daytime and one for night time. I doubt I will actually change into a different outfit each night, but I wanted to at least have the option. Plus, the way I’ve planned these outfits I don’t feel like I’m taking a bunch of extra stuff to be able to do that since so much of it can be reused for multiple looks.
This striped sweater from this first look could also be thrown on with some jeans and sneakers, and the skirt can be dressed up with a blazer for a dinner outfit.
I don’t know that this coat will be necessary quite yet at the time of year we will be there (maybe just at night), but I wanted to take one just in case. This knit black dress is a staple that can be worn with different types of boots or heels for different looks. My plan is to keep it edgy with my moto boots and probably some tights.
We are having pictures taken while we are there so I wanted something kind of fun but still very chic for the photos. Planning to grab some version of a tulle skirt and style it like this (without the sunglasses) for our pictures, then reuse the skirt for dinner one night.
This striped tee and jeans look is super easy, classic, and simple, but perfect for a day full of exploring a new city. I’m planning to wear my trench over my comfies for the travel portions of this trip. A good oversized trench works perfectly for this.
I’m planning to reuse my black sweater and black skirt to create this look for dinner one night by adding this blazer into the mix. The blazer would also work with jeans and sneakers for a daytime look.
This outfit came from some Pinterest inspo and when I shared on Instagram everyone loved it! I love taking elevated pieces like this chic midi skirt and dressing them down with sneakers. Plus the skirt can be reused with boots or heels if I’m looking for something a little nicer for a restaurant or something.
I haven’t decided if I want to go with heels or sneakers for this look. It depends I guess on where we end up for dinner that night, but the heels give me a reason to use this fab sequin bag again so I had to at least consider them! But like I said, if we aren’t going out for a nice dinner the day I wear this, this look with sneakers would be so fun too.
Another super simple and classic look, but one of my faves. Obviously the skirt can be swapped out for jeans, and if I need a jacket I can throw on my trench or my leather jacket with this look.
This is just kind of an extra look I threw in because I love this jacket. You could do this same look with sneakers or a flat, or swap the leather pants out for jeans.
We are taking a day trip to Champagne while we are there so I think this is what I’m planning to wear for that. I wanted something super chic, but versatile so I added the blazer incase I need an extra layer or want to feel more put together.
Here’s that same pleated skirt, styled for an evening look. If it’s cold I plan to just wear tights under the skirt and let them peek out between the hem of the skirt and the top of my boots.
This is probably my favorite outfit I’m packing. I love this skort (selling fast though so I linked a similar one above) paired with my oversized blazer and tall boots. It would also be cute with a slouchy sweater.
Ok as far as evening looks go this one is definitely my favorite. We are doing at least one “fancier” dinner while we are there so this is planned for that night. I also thought it would be fun to take some night time pics by the Eiffel Tower in this look.
