dress / heels / bag / earrings
Happy Tuesday friends! Hope you all had a good holiday weekend! It rained here the whole time so we didn’t get to do much.
I am so excited to share this post with you all! I have gotten quite a few requests for a post about what to wear as a guest to a fall wedding, so here it is!
I also get asked all the time where the best place to buy dresses is, and I always tell people Nordstrom is my go-to. You all know I am a big Nordstrom shopper anyway, but I particularly love looking for dresses there because they have SO many different brands in a huge range of price points
As soon as I saw this gorgeous maxi dress I knew it would be perfect for this post! The color is very on trend for fall, and you can’t beat the under $100 price point. I totally forgot to get photos of the back of this dress, but it is just as pretty as the front, and I love all the cascading ruffles. For reference, I sized up to a medium in this one (it doesn’t have any stretch).
I think to key to dressing for a fall wedding is to stick with fall colors. This dress doesn’t have sleeves, obviously, but I live in Houston so it’s still warm here through the end of October (which can make it really hard to dress for fall). If you live somewhere where you actually get a fall season, I also really love something like this option so that you have a full-length sleeve, or this really pretty lace option. This gorgeous green dress is also a great fall color, and is a little longer than the two I just shared. Or, for an even longer option, this high-low maxi is really pretty.
As far as shoes, I like to keep it simple with most dresses and just wear a strappy block heel. This suede pair is perfect for fall and goes with everything. I wear mine ALL the time. The heel is also a really good height, not too tall. So, if you don’t want to kick your shoes off as soon as the dancing starts, these are a great option!
