I hope you all had a great three day weekend! I know my family sure did, and I’m sad that’s it’s over. But, back to reality! I’m glad it’s a short week because it’s our first week of no Mother’s Day Out for the kids, and I think Liv is going to have a hard time adjusting to going to see her friends for a few months. Of course, we will have a few play dates here and there, but she really loves school (a lot more than Mason does), and she likes to be “busy”.
I know I’ve already done a post featuring this top, but gingham is so huge right now (and I’m all over it) that I couldn’t resist styling it another way for another post. This exact top sold out in between me taking these pictures and getting this post up, but I’ve linked a bunch of other cute gingham options at the bottom of this post!
But let’s talk about how cute these shorts are! I love the ruffle detail on them. I also love that are not denim, so I can dress them up. Sometimes it’s hard to dress for a nicer date night in Houston summers if you don’t want to wear a dress, because it’s just so dang hot. But these shorts are perfect to throw on with a block heel or some cute wedges and a nice top!
I plan to wear this outfit out to dinner at a nicer restaurant later this week, so I wanted something other than a flat shoe. You can’t go wrong with these wedges. If you don’t already know, these wedges are EVERYWHERE. They are so popular this season that they have been hard to find. Luckily, I found them in stock for you! These are also super comfortable and easy to walk in!
I finished off this look with my ark bag and these super fun drop earrings. I love these earrings for a statement earring, and I love even more that they aren’t too heavy!
xo, Loren
